SMBA manages the [World Class 300 Program], which supports the technology, global advancement, and manpower of high potential enterprises to foster their growth into world-class specialized enterprises, and it selects candidate enterprises to become global enterprises to enhance their global competitiveness. Furthermore, SMBA has alleviated the burden of handing down family businesses that are high potential enterprises by preparing the support for them to survive for 100 years. In addition, it has built a ladder for smooth growth from venture businesses → high potential enterprises → large enterprises to help high potential enterprises to function as a key to recovering Korea’s economic vitality and creating jobs.

Improving all kinds of regulations on SMEs and promoting balanced regional development
SMBA works to prevent in advance the legislation of regulations that would excessively or irrationally burden SMEs with introducing and managing SME Regulation Impact Assessment System. Furthermore, it introduces and manages the "SME Ombudsman System" to systematically discover and improve difficulties and all kinds of irrational regulations that limit the business management of SMEs and micro-enterprises from their viewpoint. Furthermore, the administration has designated local special regions for local governments to develop regional specialties, and it is working hard to bolster regional economies by discovering exemptions to all kinds of regulations for regional specialty businesses.
